Marilyn Shallenberger

Marilyn B. Shallenberger, 92 of Scottdale, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022.  She was born July 30, 1929 in East Huntingdon Township a daughter of the late Roy W. Browning, Sr and Alice (Willard) Browning.

Marilyn had been employed by First National Bank and retired from Gallatin Bank as a bank counselor.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Scottdale where was a member of the United Methodist Women.  She also belonged to the Western PA Conference of Methodist Women.  Marilyn was a faithful volunteer at Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.  She was a member of the Connellsville Order of the Eastern Star #247 and the Braddock Trail Chapter D.A.R.

She is survived by her loving husband, Howard J. Shallenberger, her devoted daughter, Sheri Rosato and her cherished grandson, Luca Rosato, as well as, several nieces and nephews, and a very dear friend, Pamela Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by  her brother, Roy W. Browning, Jr; her sister, Dorothy Maust and two siblings in infancy.

Private services will be held for the family under the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Scottdale.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh NICU 4401 Penn Avenue, Floor 8 Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
