Margaret Sandzimier

Margaret J. Sandzimier, 87 of Scottdale, passed away, Saturday, January 1, 2022.  She was born July 24, 1934 in Everson a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Stepanic) Siwula.

Margie was a devoted homemaker and had previously worked as an operator for the former Bell Telephone Company.  She enjoyed bingo and bus trips to the casinos.  She was a member of the partner parish of St. Joseph RC Church, Everson and the St. Joseph Society.

She is survived by her loving family, her two sons, Michael Sandzimier and his wife Colette, John Sandzimier and Abby, her grandson, William Sandzimier; daughter in law, Kimberly Sandzimier; her brother, Joseph “Shivy” Siwula and his wife Marla, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard M. “Suds” Sandzimier, a son, Tomas Sandzimier and her sister, Florence Potoniec.

There will be no public viewing.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11 am in St. Joseph RC Church, Everson with Rev. Elmer Alforque as celebrant.  Private inurnment will take place in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church c/o 416 S.
