Obituary

James R. Toman, 84 of Scottdale, passed away, June 13, 2022.  He was born July 6, 1937 in Webster a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Sholtis) Toman.

Jim was an electrical engineer and always had a project to work on or think about.  He loved fireworks, cigars, audio books and trips to the casino.  He also loved music and was an excellent bass guitar player.  A world-class thinker and fixer of all things--simple and complex--Jim enjoyed spending time in his garage fixing, building or improving something.

He is survived by his wife, Judith A. (Lewandowski) Toman, his children, JoAnn Toman, Jody Toman and Julie Felton (Derek), two-step children, Dave Smouse (Kristina) and Melissa Wendell (Dave) grandchildren, Tyler, Desiree, Elizabeth, Wesley, Jacob, Christopher and Jamie; his siblings, Audrey Soltis (Gerald), Beverly Karp and JR (Andrew) Toman, as well as, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by  two sons,  Jamie Toman and John (Eli) Toman, and a brother, Raymond.

In accordance with Jim’s wishes, there will be no viewing or services.  Arrangements are in the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Scottdale.  Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  Online condolences are welcome at www.gjfuneral.com
