D. Jean Santarel

D. Jean Santarel, 85 of Everson, passed away, Tuesday, November 16, 2021.  She was born November 1, 1936 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Collins) Shandorf.

Jean was retired from the Southmoreland School District where she had been employed as a baker in the cafeteria.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale and enjoyed word puzzle games and going to the casino. She held several memberships including the Everson Volunteer Fire Company ladies auxiliary where she was a charter member.

She is survived by her loving husband, Vincent M. Santarel, her two daughters, Michele Horan and her companion Todd Henderson, Sharee Keffer and her husband Dave; a grandson, Vincent Keffer and a step grandson, Brian Ritch, three step great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Landon and Braxton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John, Thomas, William, Frank, Charles and Daniel Shandorf, Mary Blackburn, Rita Newcomer, Sara Hamilton and Anna Lovasz.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where parting prayers will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by Jean’s funeral Mass at 11 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Scottdale with Rev.
