Carol Mallloy

December 6, 1945 — October 8, 2022

Carol Ann (Page) Malloy, 76, formerly of Altoona, passed unexpectedly, October 8, 2022 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg after a brief illness. She was born December 6, 1945 in Altoona, daughter of the late Melvin and Mary (Bender) Page.

She married Terry L. Malloy on May 22, 1987. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Terry, on May 24, 2022.

Carol is survived by her four children: John Rizzo (Christel), Scott Rizzo (Amy), Kara Garver (Jim) and Ryan Rizzo (Kristy); seven grandchildren; and two (soon to be three) great-grandchildren.

Carol was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired in 2003 after working as an insurance agent for many years. Carol was an avid reader and especially enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins. She, with her husband, were life members of the Ray-Camp V.F.W. Post 7689, Roaring Spring.

A public service honoring both Carol and her late husband, Terry, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2022, at the chapel at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona, with Pastor Mark Lingenfelter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol’s memory may be given to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, www.bafound.org, 269 Hanover St., Hanover, MA 02339.
