William Fox, Jr

August 10, 1949 — March 17, 2012

William J. Fox, Jr., 62 of Scottdale, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, March 17, 2012. He was born August 10, 1949 a son of the late William J. and Kathryn Imogene (Forrest) Fox.

Bill was retired from Connellsville Area High School where he was an English teacher. He also assisted as a coach for the Boys Tennis team, was sponsor of the Stereo Club and helped in building stage sets for the high school musicals. Bill was a graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1967 where he was on the school tennis team and also graduated from Penn State University in 1971. He was 50-year member of Christ United Methodist Church, Scottdale where he served as an usher and greeter. Bill was an avid reader, loved music, was a movie buff and he greatly enjoyed Penn State Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penguins Hockey Team.

Bill was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by several close friends and will be sadly missed by, Terry L. Brown of Westminster, MD; Robert F. Medsger of State College; Frank Rudnik of Mt. Pleasant, and James and Deanna Sherbondy of Connellsville.

Family and friends are welcome at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, 724-887-7110, (an Authorized Remembrance Provider) on Saturday from 3 to 9 pm where funeral services will be held, Sunday at 1 pm with his pastor, the Rev. Dennis M. Henley officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sierra Club 85 Second Street, 2nd Floor San Francisco, CA 94105-3441 in memory of William J. Fox, Jr.
