Virgina Pahel

Virginia A. Pahel, 93, of Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 13, 2009 in Scottdale Manor Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 12, 1916 in South Greensburg a daughter of the late John and Mildred Scheibler Lopes. Mrs. Pahel was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Calvin United Presbyterian Church, Scottdale and the Women's Association of the church. She was the beloved mother of Ronald C. Pahel, Jr. and his wife Margaret Ann of Alverton; Barry L. Pahel and his wife Darlene of New Stanton; loving grandmother of Lori Hyde and husband Brian; Michael Cernuto and wife Amber; and Jennifer and Christin Pahel; great-grandmother of David, Nickolas and Dustin Hyde; and Zachary and Olivia Cernuto; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald C. Pahel, Sr; six brothers, Clifford, Louis, Howard, Donald, Ronald and Robert Lopes and a sister, Jean Weibel. ] Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, (724-887-7110) where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Jane Young. Committal services and interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery.
