Veronica Lewandowski

Veronica F. Lewandowksi, 86, of Everson, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 12, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 1, 1924 in Everson a daughter of the late Joseph and Stephania Szwed Lewandowski.
Vern retired from Robertshaw Controls. She was a member of St. Joseph RC Church, Everson where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and had belonged to several church organizations and volunteered for many parish events. She was also a member of the Everson Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her loving niece and caregiver, Diane M. Lewandowski and her family, Ray Shandorf, Dean Lewandowski and Lindsay Kuhn who also cared for Vern; a special nephew, Al Levendosky and wife MaryDell; two sisters, Dorothy Metzner of Jacksonville, NC and Phyllis Sulkowksi of Chicago, Il; along with several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Alexander, Joseph and Vincent Lewandowski and two sisters, Regina Kunka and an infant sister Victoria.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 6 to 9 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale (724-887-7110). A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:30 am in St. Joseph R.C. Church, Everson with her pastor, Rev. John Sedlak as celebrant. (Everyone please go directly to the church). Private interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. The St. Joseph Society will recite the rosary Monday at 6 pm and a parish vigil service will be held on Monday at 7 pm both in the funeral home
