Shirley J. (Malone) Eckman, 89 of Everson passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Eicher’s Family Home, Normalville, with her loving daughters at her side. She was born May 21, 1934 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Adam and Goldie (Schrock) Noschese.
Shirley was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother above all else. She had been employed at the Clover Farm Store, Scottdale and then served for many years as the Everson Borough Tax Collector. Shirley was a longtime member of the partner parish of St. John the Baptist Church, Scottdale; the Everson Senior Citizen’s, the Everson Civics Association and her card club in Connellsville. Some of her favorite times were spent with friends and family at Bud Murphy’s Connellsville and the Noschese family reunions.
She is survived by her three daughters, Goldie Lohr (Mike); Kim Fagan (Joseph) and Shirley Wolak (Bob); her two grandchildren, Faith Sartori (John) and Richard Malone (Yuhan) and great-grandchildren, Luke and Eddie Malone, her daughter in law, Mary Anne Delaney, her two special girls, Erin (Adam) Maurer and family and Brianne (Vernon) Mardis and family and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard P. Malone, Sr., her second husband Edward Eckman; a daughter, Mary Ann Malone; a son, Dr. Richard P. Malone, Jr and her brothers, Robert, James, Jack, Adam, Jr., and Richard Noschese.
Family and friends are welcome at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC, 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm where Prayers of Transfer will be recited at 9:30 am Wednesday followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 am in St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale with the Very Rev. Paul A. Lisik as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Everson Civics Association c/o 149 Jones St. Everson, PA 15631.
