Shirley M. Babura

Shirley M. Babura, 91 of Scottdale, passed away, Sunday May 10, 2026. She was born June 29, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late John Aarland and Olive (McClain) Hodge.

During her working career, Shirley was a well- known and talented floral designer. She worked at the former DeMuth Florist, Scottdale for over 30 years and later worked for Grasso Greenhouse, Gayle Lee Floral, Thomas Florist and Rosso Florist. She was also a longtime member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale.

Shirley is survived by two sisters in law, Dolores “Sis” Babura and Garnet Babura and several nieces and nephews, as well as, her friends and caregivers, Beverly Stuchell, Gary Eicher and Michael Mitrisin,

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arnold C. “Homer” Babura on April 19, 2019 and her beloved pets.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where Prayers of Transfer will be said on Friday at 10:30 am followed by her funeral Mass at 11 am in St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale.
