Sandra "Sandy" Jean Daily, 82, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 20, 2026. She was born March 25, 1944 in Stow, Ohio to the late Joseph"Dale" Stitt and Edith (Johnston) Stitt.
She was a member of Pennsville Baptist Church and carried her faith quietly but deeply throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, William Daily, whom she wed January 4,1964, beginning a partnership that spanned more than 6 decades, and her three children, Michael Daily (Jessica), Jeffery Daily (Tammy), and Julie Daily.
She was a proud grandma to Chelsea Althoff (Alex), Shelby Daily, Ashley Sherman (Tyler), Brandon Daily, Jacob Uncapher, and Emily Yorty (Nick) and she treasured her great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Axel, and Hunter and Hadley.
Sandy was an avid gardener; her front yard was always full of beautiful blooms throughout the season. Her front porch was a place where life unfolded, many hours spent sitting on the porch swing talking to her granddaughter, watching the sun set, seeing her garden bloom, and it is also where the squirrel, Sammie, she befriended would visit and sit on her lap. That porch held her laughter, her stories, her sarcasm and countless memories.
Some of her happiest moments were spent with her great granddaughter Aubrey: gardening together, sipping tea on the porch, teaching her to ride a bike, and in true Sandy fashion-accidentally teaching her her first swear word. Sandys quick sarcasm and sharp wit were trademarks of her personality and Will be fiercely missed
She enjoyed taking classes at WCCC with her granddaughter Chelsea, painting, scrapbooking, reminiscing about American Bandstand and listening to Paul Anka, and taking trips to Sugarcreek Ohio.
Her legacy will live on in the family she created, and she will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
