Ronald K. Hyskell, 68 of Alverton, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2011. He was born May 13, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant a son of the late David C. and Mabel I. (Johnson) Hyskell. Ron was a well-known local farmer, having owned and operated Hyskell Farms in Alverton for many years. He was a great outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. In addition he owned and raised birds, including doves, pigeons and peacocks, as well as exotic fowl. He was a member of the 4H Club and had a passion for attending auctions. Ron was a member of the Center Bethel Church of God, Alverton and was a veteran of the US Airforce. He is survived by his loving wife, Wilda G. (Bucklew) Hyskell; his children, Dana Hyskell; Bryson Hyskell; Deborah Lewis and husband Benjamin, Jr.; Dianna Freels and husband Duane; Donna Reynolds and husband Michael; Kenneth Rager, II and wife Sandra; D. Denise House and husband Brad and Kevin Rager and wife Rose; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Benjamin Lewis, III, officiating. Graveside services will follow in Scottdale Cemetery with full military honors bestowed by the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Honor Guard.
