Ronald Hyskell

Ronald K. Hyskell, 68 of Alverton, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2011. He was born May 13, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant a son of the late David C. and Mabel I. (Johnson) Hyskell. Ron was a well-known local farmer, having owned and operated Hyskell Farms in Alverton for many years. He was a great outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. In addition he owned and raised birds, including doves, pigeons and peacocks, as well as exotic fowl. He was a member of the 4H Club and had a passion for attending auctions. Ron was a member of the Center Bethel Church of God, Alverton and was a veteran of the US Airforce. He is survived by his loving wife, Wilda G. (Bucklew) Hyskell; his children, Dana Hyskell; Bryson Hyskell; Deborah Lewis and husband Benjamin, Jr.; Dianna Freels and husband Duane; Donna Reynolds and husband Michael; Kenneth Rager, II and wife Sandra; D. Denise House and husband Brad and Kevin Rager and wife Rose; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are welcome at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, 724-887-7110, (an Authorized Remembrance Provider) on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am with his grandson, Rev. Benjamin Lewis, III, officiating. Graveside services will follow in Scottdale Cemetery with full military honors bestowed by the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Honor Guard.
