Robert C. “Siggy” Sigwalt, 87, of Scottdale, PA, passed away peacefully Friday, November 22, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 30, 1937 in Connellsville, PA. Son of the late Warren L. and Anne (Rittenour) Sigwalt. He graduated from Frazier High School in Perryopolis, PA Class of 1955, during which he learned welding in Votech. Bob then went on to serve in the National Guard. He worked and retired as a welder and pipe fitter for Irey Construction in Monongahela, PA after 28 years of service. Bob was a lifetime active member of the Tyrone Presbyterian Church in Dawson, PA, where he served as Ruling Elder many times. He was a member of the Tyrone Men’s Dartball Team and was a wealth of knowledge on the history of the church and local area. He was also a member of the Laurel Swingers Club where he enjoyed square dancing with his wife. Bob was a very well-liked man with a great sense of humor. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed cracking a joke or two. He was a loving grandfather. All of his grand, great and great-great grandchildren were the light of his life. He always replied, “That’s a two-way street kid, it goes both ways” to his grandchildren telling him they loved him. Bob made the best pepperoni rolls and made over 400 to share with his family every Christmas. He enjoyed camping with his wife in Shelocta, PA, hunting and tending to his large garden. He is preceded in death by both parents; great-great granddaughter, Peighton Cockrell and sister, Ruth Ann Porter. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruth I. (Echard) Sigwalt of Scottdale, PA; daughter, Kelly (Steve) Imel of Scottdale, PA; sons, Robert L. (Nancy) Sigwalt of Fairhope, PA, James W. (Genevieve) Sigwalt of Bagley, PA, Charles E. (Mary) Sigwalt of Dawson, PA and Todd A. (Natasha) Sigwalt of Scottdale, PA; eleven grandchildren, Robert L. Jr., Tina, James, Heather, Stevie, Erica, Nicole, Charles Jr., Haleigh, Ethan and Aubree; twelve great grandchildren, Brieanna, Janessa, Logan, Zeppelynn, Jacob, Rayna, Benjamin, Emma, Isabel, Noah, Kylie and Alexia; great-great grandson, Casen and sister, Kathleen Decker of Dawson, PA. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Graft-Jacquillard Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. in Scottdale, PA – James E. Jacquillard, Supervisor/FD. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the funeral home with Pastor Lonnie Rittenour officiating. Interment will follow at the Scottdale Cemetery in Scottdale, PA.
