Robert J. “Bob” Reboy, 84 of Scottdale, passed away, Saturday, December 21, 2024. He was born March 28, 1940 in East Huntingdon Township a son of the late Bomby and Mary (Testa) Reboy.
Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Bert) Reboy, four daughters (Lisa, Kelley, Justine, Celeste), seven grandchildren and his sister Mary Juliano. He was predeceased by his sister Laura Kaczmarek, and brothers Louis Sr., and Donald.
Bob was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School Class of 1958 and a social member of the former Scottdale VFW and Pleasant Valley Country Club. In high school, he was active in many sports, including track, basketball and football, for which he was captain of the team during his senior year. During his career, he was a self-employed contractor. Prior to owning his own business, he worked as a Foreman at both Modulus in Mt. Pleasant and Durloy in Scottdale. He became a passionate golfer for life starting in his early 20s. Other interests included gardening, especially flowers, was an avid reader of current affairs, loved a challenging crossword puzzle, and spending time with family and friends near and far. A man who considered himself a native son of Western Pennsylvania, he went by the nickname Hawkeye because it reflected his place of birth. He liked to joke that he considered “Hawkeye the capital of Scottdale.” In retirement, he spent winters with Barb in Vero Beach golfing with close friends.
Bob’s family will receive family and friends on Saturday, December 28 from 1 to 3 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where a memorial service will begin at 3 pm.
