Robert King

Robert W. King, 77 of Everson, passed away, Sunday, October 25, 2009 in Harmon House Care Center. He was born November 16, 1931 in Owensdale a son of the late Chalfant and Elizabeth Dieterly King. Robert was retired from Rack Engineering where he was employed as a cabinet assembler. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean conflict. He enjoyed auto repair and flea markets and was a member of the American Legion and the US Steel Workers Union. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann King; his children, Robert William King of Scottdale; Stephen King and Maryann of Scottdale; Lisa Crawford and husband Robert of Owensdale; Jessica King Martin; and Max King and wife Heidi of Derry; six grandchildren; a sister, Laverne Lane of Connellsville and a brother, Blaine King of Columbia, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vida Christina King; and a brother Gilliam King. Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday from 3 to 5 & 7-9 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale (724) 887-7110 where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 pm conducted by Fr. E. George Saletrik. Interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery with military honors.
