Robert Lee Kennedy, 67, of Scottdale (East Huntingdon Twp.) , passed away, Tuesday, July 15, 2008. He was born August 16, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant a son of Geraldine (Levergood) Kennedy Cooper of Scottdale and the late John Robert Kennedy.
Bob was self-employed as a gunsmith and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the NRA and the Laurel Highlands VHS Ham Radio Organization. He was a 43 year member of the Marion Masonic Lodge #562 F & AM and was affiliated with the First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant. He was also a graduate of East Huntingdon High School Class of 1959.
In addition to his mother, Geraldine Kennedy Cooper, Bob is survived by his loving wife Carol Miller Kennedy whom he married March 20, 1969; two sons, John Robert Kennedy and his wife Nancy of Dana Point, CA; and Richard Lee Kennedy and his wife Shelly of Berea, KY: four grandchildren, Nicole, Kristine, Robby and Chelsea; a sister, Sandra Lee Sobinsky and her husband James of Mt. Pleasant and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale (724-887-7110) where a Masonic Service will be held at 4 PM by the Marion Masonic Lodge #562 F & AM. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to a charity of oneE�s choice in memory of Robert Lee Kennedy.
