Robert Alan Martin

Robert "Bobby", "B" Alan Martin, 64, of Connellsville, PA, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of his loving wife after a courageous battle with a long illness.

Bobby was born on December 10, 1961, to the late Francis "Mo" Martin and Constance "Connie" (Stitsel) Popoleo. Raised in Munhall, PA, he spent his youth on the baseball and football fields, sparking a lifelong passion for sports.

Bobby dedicated much of his life to protecting and serving others in law enforcement and security. Over the years, he served as a police officer at the Mon View Heights housing projects, a correctional officer at Lancaster County Prison, and ultimately as a safety systems supervisor at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital in Oakland, PA. He retired after 15 years of dedicated service to the hospital.

An avid hunter and devoted history buff, Bobby felt most at home outdoors or exploring the stories of the past. Above all, he cherished the time spent with family and friends. He loved nothing more than hosting cookouts, sharing good food, and creating lasting memories through his legendary storytelling. He also deeply treasured special traditions, especially baking holiday cookies side-by-side with his beloved wife. Blessed with a heart of gold, a quick wit, and an infectious charm, Bobby could instantly fill a room. Those who knew him will forever remember his laughter and the genuine warmth and kindness he brought into their lives.

Bobby was reunited in peace with his parents; his brothers, John Martin and Richard (Rick) Martin; his father-in-law, Stanley Tabaj; and his beloved fur companions, Chloe, Moey, and Willow.

His legacy of love lives on through his devoted wife, Susan Tabaj-Martin; his mother-in-law, Irene Tabaj; beloved cousins, nieces and nephews; and his faithful dogs, Kirby Joe and Baylee Marie, who brought him immense joy and companionship.
