Rita C. Shefsick

Rita C. Shefsick, 83 of Scottdale passed away, Saturday, February 17, 2024.  She was born December 7, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late Joseph and Annette (Zerilla) Shefsick.

Rita attended Uniontown Hospital School of nursing and received her degree as  a Registered Nurse.  Her nursing career was spent at the former Uniontown Hospital from which she retired.  She was a member of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church and a graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1958.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Wingert.

Family and friends are invited to the Divine Liturgy on Thursday, February 22 at 10 am in St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Scottdale with Rev. Oleh Seremchuk as celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. John’s Byzantine Cemetery.  Arrangements  are in the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Pa.
