Phyllis M. Kropff of Scottdale, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2016. She was born in Wellsboro, Ohio a daughter of the late Alfred and Zella Glaser.
Mrs. Kropff worked as the bookkeeper along with her husband, Richard at Kropff’s Jewelers in Scottdale where she also handled the engraving and beading. She maintained that same role as her sons, Doug and Dennis entered the family business. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Scottdale and enjoyed antiquing.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas and Dennis Kropff; her two grandsons, Ryan Kropff and his wife Renee and Matthew Kropff; her daughter in law, Patty Kropff with whom she resided; and two great-granddaughters, Sammie and Avery Kropff.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Kropff, a brother, Jim Glaser and a sister, Evelyn Williams.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am with her pastor, Rev. Harry R. Speakman officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Animal Friends of Westmoreland, 216 Depot Street, Youngwood, PA 15697.
