Naomi M. (Bungard) Gaffney, 64 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away, Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Harmon House Care Center. She was born May 25, 1945 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late Jesse Hunter and Flora Jean (Queer) Bungard.
Naomi was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. Recently, she attended New Hope Community Church, Bridgeport. Naomi was a believer in Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her loving children, William Gaffney, Jr and wife Shelly of Acme; Michael Gaffney and wife Jeanine of New Jersey; Deborah Rogers of Mt. Pleasant; Brian L. Gaffney and wife Tammy of Scottdale; and Wanda Wadsworth and Wayne "Troop" Canady of Mt. Pleasant; also surviving are 15 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; three sisters, Margaret L. Beal of White; Dolores F. Mineo and Joyce A. Grosser and husband Lawrence all of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Ronald Bungard and wife Marylin of Scottdale and Lawrence E. Bungard and wife Candace of United; and several loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesse D. Bungard and Donald L. Bungard and two sisters, Alma Jean Nelson and Bonnie L. Shipley.
Family and friends are welcome on Saturday from 6 to 8 pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, (724-887-7110. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am in First United Church of Christ, Main & Hitchman Streets, Mt. Pleasant, with Pastor Harold Murphy officiating. (Everyone please go directly to the church.) Interment will follow in Greenlick Cemetery, Bullskin Township.
