Mary Ellen Toth

Mary Ellen (Ryan) Toth, 90, of Everson (Upper Tyrone Township), passed away, September 7, 2021.  She was born May 5, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Wilhelm) Ryan.

Mary Ellen was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale where she served as a eucharistic minister.  She was a graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1949 and the Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing in 1952 where she earned her degree as a registered nurse.

She is survived by her loving and faithful husband, James R. Toth; her devoted children, Elizabeth Walters (Richard); Michael Toth (Michelle); John Toth (Dayna) and Catherine Majka (Kevin); the following grandchildren: James, Rebecca, and John Toth; Ryan and Chloe Walters, and Ethan and Emerson Toth as well as her great granddaughter Evelyn Toth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and a sister, Margaret Jane O’Brien.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where prayers of transfer will be offered on Saturday at 9:30 am followed by her funeral Mass at 10 am in St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale with Rev.
