Mary Ann Vinzani

Mary Ann (Dzambo) Vinzani, 84 of Scottdale, passed away, Friday, Sept. 18, 2026 at the home of her sister, Debbie where she was surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ann was born February 2, 1942 in Everson a daughter of the late Peter J. Dzambo, Sr. and Mary J. (Wesolowski) Dzambo.

Mary Ann worked as a seamstress having first been employed at Connellsville Sportswear. She also worked out of her home and then owned and operated Mary Ann’s Sewing Shoppe in Scottdale for many years where she also created arts and crafts. Always at her side, was her husband Ed who helped her at arts and crafts shows, especially the Scottdale Fall Festival where patrons always enjoyed her pierogies and cabbage and noodles. Mary Ann was also an active and longtime member of the partner parish of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale.

Mary Ann and Ed were married for 48 years before his passing on August 4, 2011. They first met at a polka dance at the Everson Volunteer Fire Department and shared many happy years together.

She is survived by her two sons, Edward S. Vinzani, Jr and his wife Julie of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Dr. Kevin Vinzani and his wife Tricia of Acworth, GA; granddaughter, Lucia Katcher and her husband, Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Evelyn (Evie) all of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; her siblings, Barbara Dzambo, of Aurora, CO, Allen Dzambo (Betty) of Scottdale, Debbie Stolarik of Perryopolis, Peter Dzambo, Jr. of Connellsville, John Dzambo (Bonnie) of Bethlehem, Pa, George Dzambo (Cathe) of Mt. Pleasant, Cindy Lewis (Scott), of Centennial CO; her sisters-in-law, Louise Dzambo and Ruth Ann Dzambo both of Scottdale, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward S. Vinzani, Sr., an infant son and daughter, three brothers, Thomas Dzambo, Eugene Dzambo and James Dzambo and his wife Pamela Dzambo and her brother in law, Jan “Janko” Stolarik.

Relatives and friends are welcome on Sunday, Oct 4  from 11-2 and 3-6 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where Prayers of Transfer will be said on Monday, Oct 5 at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 am in the partner parish of St. John the Baptist Church, Scottdale. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John’s Church, 416 S. Broadway St., Scottdale, PA 15683.
