Mark Sipos

July 7, 1972 — June 23, 2012

Mark Taylor Sipos, 39, of Scottdale (formerly of Wescosville, PA) passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, after a long, courageous battle with leukemia.

Mark is survived by his wife, Christine (Ulery) Sipos, and his daughter Taylor Sipos, of Scottdale; His parents, Charlie and Nancy Sipos of Wescosville, PA; His brother and Stem Cell donor, Christopher Sipos and wife Sandhya of Coatesville, PA; His in-laws, Dennis and Kathy Ulery of Connellsville, His brother-in-law Dennis and wife Kim Ulery of Mt. Pleasant and his nephew and buddy, Sam Ulery of Mt. Pleasant; His Grandmother-in-law Alverda Poorbaugh of Connellsville and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Stella Sipos and Robert and Bertha Wendler; His grandparents-in-law Wilfred and lrene Ulery and W.E. (Ed) Poorbaugh.
Mark graduated from Emmaus High School in 1990; He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from California University of Pennsylvania in Technology Education. He was proud to be a Technology Education Teacher at Hempfield Area High school for the past 16 years. The family would like to thank all of the students and staff at Hempfield High School for being so supportive during Mark's illness. We would also like to thank Dr. Raptis and his team, the nurses and staff at the Stem Cell Clinic at Hillman Cancer Center and the doctors, nurses and staff at Shadyside Hospital "7 West" where Mark spent a lot of his time over the past two years. Per Marks wishes, there will be no viewing. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 28 from Noon until 2pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. (an Authorized Remembrance Provider), 303 Pittsburgh. St. Scottdale , 724-887-7110. Mark's memorial service will begin at 2pm in the funeral home followed by private burial in the Ulery Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shadyside Hospital Foundation, 532 South Aiken Avenue Suite 302, Pittsburgh, PA 15232. Please mark donations to be used for the "7 West Patient Programs, in memory of Mark Sipos."
Memorial Service, Saturday, July 28 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
