Louis M. "Lou" Yuhouse, Jr., 58, of Scottdale, passed away, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home. Lou was born July 30, 1956 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado a son of the late Louis M. Yuhouse, Sr. and Virginia (Hood) Yuhouse of Scottdale.
Prior to his retirement, Lou had been employed by WABTEC Rubber Products Division of Greensburg for 10 years and had previously been employed by DCI Corp of Murrysville for 22 years. He was a graduate of Southmoreland High School Class of 1973 and attended Pennsville Baptist Church. Lou loved baseball and was a sports trivia buff. He also enjoyed fishing, taking cave tours and visiting lighthouses in New England.
Lou is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Judy (Furin) Yuhouse who was also his devoted caregiver. His beloved children, Jillian G. Yuhouse Zarnick and husband Bruce of Smithton; and Evan Yuhouse of Scottdale; his mother, Virginia Yuhouse; his brothers, Donald Yuhouse and wife Kim of Irwin; Ronald Yuhouse of Scottdale; Doug R. Yuhouse and wife Meghan of Bullskin Township; his sister, Julia R. Yuhouse Jones and husband Thomas of Bear Rocks; his nieces and nephews, Tobias Yuhouse and Casey; April Rowan (his goddaughter) and Brian, Leah Govi and Jordan; Alexandra Yuhouse and Zach Froble; Aaron Yuhouse and Arden Yuhouse; several great-nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where Lou's funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Terry V. Murray officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pennsville Baptist Church 3298 Richey Road, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666 or to the Yuhouse Family.
