Lawrence J. "Larry" Gonda, 55 of Connellsville, passed away peacefully, January 25, 2009 in Harmon House Care Center, Mt. Pleasant. Larry was born January 16, 1954 in Connellsville a son of the late Joseph and Martha Karwatsky Gonda.
Larry worked at the Yough Bowling Lanes in Connellsville where he coordinated the Junior Bowling League and the Men's Summer and Winter Bowling Leagues He was formerly employed by the Elliott Company, Jeannette. He was catholic by faith and was a graduate of Connellsville High School. He also enjoyed hunting and golfing.
He is survived by his wife Sherry (Welch) Gonda; a daughter Lori A. Gonda; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are welcome at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale (724-887-7110) on Wednesday from 3 to 8 pm the hour of services in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating. Interment will take place in Scottdale Cemetery. A wake service will be held on Wednesday afternoon in the funeral home.
