June Ridenour, 83, of Ruffsdale, passed away Tuesday, March 01, 2011 in Harmon House Care Center, Mt. Pleasant. She was born June 27, 1927 in Ruffsdale a daughter of the late H. Lee and Sara (Sheraw) Smith.
June was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cared for her family as a devoted homemaker. She was also a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant.
June is survived by her loving family, her husband, J. Gilbert Ridenour; three sons, Dr. Dennis G. Ridenour and his wife Linda of Duncansville; Bruce J. Ridenour and his wife Pamela of Norvelt and Bradley D. Ridenour and his wife Denise of Troy, MI; three grandsons, Todd Ridenour, Dr. Ryan Ridenour and his wife, Kathy and Jordan Ridenour; two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Leah Ridenour; a brother, R. Daniel Smith and his wife Joan of Ruffsdale and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Lee Smith and John Jacob Smith.
Family and friends will be received at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale (724-887-7110) on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am in the funeral home with Vicar Karen Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. Memorials may be made to Grane Hospice 209 Sigma Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15238.
