Karen J. Nicholson, 81 of Scottdale, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024. She was born January 2, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late Samuel “Earl” and Dorothy (Brahs) Keller.
Karen was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church, Scottdale and early in her career had been employed as a dental assistant. For over 50 years, Karen was employed by Kropff’s Jeweler’s, Scottdale. Karen was a volunteer for the Scottdale Picnic in the Park Committee and enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by her loving children, Denise Sultzer (Bill), Lisa Reed (Randall), Susie Stafford (Jeff) and Robb Nicholson (Paula); thirteen grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Corey and Brady Reed; Jessie and Dylan Sultzer; Jeff, Stephanie and Josh Stafford; Rain Roberts (Silas), Taryn, Keira and Camryn Nicholson; twelve great grandchildren, Autumn, Amari, Gabby, Giovanni, Jalayah, Golden, Addy, Jeremiah, Tyler, Isaac, Noah, Jacob and Cayden; two brothers, Kenneth Keller (Carol) and Dennis Keller and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Allan C. “Nick” Nicholson; her son, Jeffrey Corley; a great granddaughter, Madisyn Grace, her sister, Linda Ream and her brother in law, Richard Cramer.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale. Karen’s funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 am in the First Assembly of God Church, 321 Jennings Ave. Scottdale with Rev. Andrea Bello officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Please visit www.gjfuneral to share an online condolence.
