Joseph Eckenrod, Sr

Joseph R. Eckenrod, Sr., 82, of Scottdale, passed away, Friday, May 27, 2011 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born October 14, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant a son of the late William B. and Mildred (Miller) Eckenrod.
Joe was employed as a machinist for several companies and was a veteran of the US Air Force during World War II. He also belonged to the Scottdale American Legion Post 240 and the Everson VFW Post 595.
He is survived by his wife Beatrice L. "Bea" (Hoyle) Eckenrod; the following children, Pamela Peters and husband John; Joseph R. Eckenrod, Jr. and wife Karen; Ricky Eckenrod and wife Suzanne; Zina Morsell and husband Jerry; Madison Fletcher and Albert Carl Fletcher IV; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; the following brothers and sisters, William, James, Charles, Terry, Raymond, Retta and Matilda and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services and interment will be held privately for the family. Arrangements are in the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 PITTSBURGH ST. SCOTTDALE. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
