John K. Eutsey, 79 of Scottdale, passed away, Friday, November 7, 2025 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born May 1, 1946 in Obertshausen, Germany a son of the late John W. Eutsey and Margaret (Kress) Eutsey.
John retired from the Commonwealth of Pa – Department of Corrections, SCI Fayette, where he was employed as a computer systems analyst. A proud veteran, he served in the US Navy from 1964-1970, as part of the reserve fleet in Philadelphia, the USS Boston CAG-1 and USS Yosemite AD19. He served in the US Coast Guard from 1971-1979 stationed at C.G. Radio Station, New Orleans, USCGC Ironwood in Adak, AK and C.G. Headquarters-8th District, New Orleans; and the Coast Guard Reserves from 1979-2006, a culmination of 41 years’ and 23 days of military service. John was a member of the Chief Petty Officers Association and the American Legion Post #446 of Mt. Pleasant. He attended Pennsville Baptist Church, Mt, Pleasant and was a Third Degree Mason of the F & AM #408 William D. White Lodge, Gretna, LA.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pamela (Shallenberger) Eutsey; his three children, Saundra Lynn Conrad; Amy Lynn Baker and her husband, Chris; and John R. Eutsey and his wife, Amanda; 7 grandchildren, Casey Conrad (Marissa); Kevin Allan (Magen); Kimberly Conrad Porter (Dusty); Gretchan Baker (Caleb); Colton Baker and John and Dorothy Eutsey; four great-grandchildren, Brayden and Cole Conrad and Logan and Alexis Allan; his brother and sister in law, John R. “ Bob” Shallenberger, Jr and his wife Fran and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anetta S. Bowman and his nephew, Jeremiah Bowman.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, Nov. 11 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 11 am with Rev. Robert H. Bixel officiating. Private interment with military honors will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
