John Colland

John E. Colland, 53, of Scottdale, passed away, Sunday, April 24, 2016 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.  He was born October 13, 1962 in Connellsville a son of the late John and Jacquelyn (Herbert) Colland.

John had been employed by the Westmoreland County Juvenile Detention Center and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Scottdale.  He was a social member of the Everson VFW and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins.  He had a quick wit and a good sense of humor and John was known to be an avid Jeopardy viewer.

Surviving is  his devoted and  loving wife, Ronna (Sarsfield) Colland; his beloved  daughter, Cassandra Ann Colland; his sister, Tammy Wesolowski and her husband, Keith (Pip); nieces and nephews, Courtney Costelnock McHugh (Dan); Josh Costelnock and his children, Ben and Natalie; Zach Costelnock; Michael Chain and Emily Sarsfield; a sister-in-law, Debra Parry (Draye) and a brother-in-law, Ron Sarsfield.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, where John’s funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 am with Rev.
