Janet R. Urbaniak, 80, of Connellsville, Upper Tyrone Township, passed away, Friday, August 10, 2012, in Highlands Hospital. She was born April 8, 1932 in Ralph, Pa a daughter of the late Francis B. and Rose W. (Barnett) Reagan.
Janet was a retired educator in the Southmoreland school district where she taught for 20 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Connellsvile and was a graduate of Seton Hill University and a member of the Seton Hill Alumni. She was a member of the PA Association of School Retirees, a life member of Fayette County Retired Public School Employees; STARS-Southmoreland Teachers, Administrators and Retired Secretaries; member of the ladies auxiliary of the Connellsville Order of Eagles, and the Scottdale American Legion 240 Auxiliary Unit.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Urbaniak on February 5, 1992 and three brothers, James; Francis Paul and Vincent Reagan and sister, Joann Ostrowski.
She is survived by a sister, Fay Reagan of Connellsville; a brother, Donald Reagan and wife Anne of Parma, OH; nephews Ronald L. Reagan and wife Aimee; Matthew Reagan; Steve Reagan and wife Peggy, and Jeff Reagan; a niece, Michelle Reagan; great-nieces Alexa, Abbey, Emily, Leanne and Haley Regan and a great-nephew, Alex Regan, as well as, several cousins.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., an authorized remembrance provider, 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, (724) 887-7110. A blessing service will be held Wednesday, August 15 at 10 am in the funeral home with Fr. Dennis Bogusz officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Everson.
