James V. "Jim" Vaculik, 57, of Everson, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 in Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born October 13, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant a son of the late John and Emily (Percosky) Vaculik.
Jim was employed as a road inspector with Maguire Construction and had previously been employed with Laborers' International Union. He was a graduate of Southmoreland High School Class of 1972 and was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale. Jim was a former member and president of the PAK, Everson and enjoyed hunting, camping and auctions.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Katherine "Kathy" (Hardik) Vaculik; his devoted sons, James A. Vaculik and Jonathon M. Vaculik both of Everson; his sister, Carol Hardik and husband Larry of Tarrs and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, his faithful dog, Annie.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., an authorized remembrance provider, 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, (724) 887-7110. Prayers of Transfer will be offered on Monday at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale with Fr. E. George Saletrik as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. A Parish Wake service will be held on Sunday at 1:45 pm in the funeral home.
