James Suter

January 31, 1934 — July 31, 2013

James H. "Tink" Suter, 79 of Ruffsdale, passed away, Wednesday, July 31, 2013. He was born January 31, 1934 in Ruffsdale a son of the late Silas Bryan and Hemmaline (Frick) Suter.

He attended East Huntingdon High School and was a veteran of the US Air Force. Jim served as scout master of the Ruffsdale Cub Scout Troop 173. He owned and drove trailer truck and was a bobtailer for Schaller's Bakery and for Leaseway Trucking with Montgomery Ward and had also been employed with CK Composites. In addition, he was the owner of Pix'y Mop Company. He held membership with the Mt. Pleasant VFW Post 3368 and AARP.

Surviving is his wife, Eileen (Beck) Suter; a son Scott Alan Suter of Chattanooga, TN; and a daughter, Suzanne Eileen Suter Turack of Ruffsdale.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert B. Suter and two sisters, Virginia Lanigan Russell and Nancy Beck Smith.

Family and friends will be received at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale on Friday from 2 until 8pm Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral home with Pastor Keith Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Ridge Memorial Park with military honors.
