James A. Sickles, 75 of Scottdale, passed away, Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Westmoreland Manor. Jim was born October 8, 1938 in Canonsburg a son of the late Thomas and Sarah (Strike) Sickles.
He was employed as a motor coach driver with Quest Coach of Scottdale and was previously employed by Washington Charters.
He is survived by his loving companion, Mary French; a son, James Michael Sickles and two grandchildren, Junior and Ryan Sickles; his extended family, Amanda, David and Amy Stone; Michael, Nathan, Tiffany, Brandon, Alyssa, Charity and Shakyra and Logan Riley; a sister, Sara Ruth Miles (Glen); brothers, Norman "Sonny" Sickles (Joan) and Thomas Sickles, numerous nieces and nephews and his pets, Jasmine and Lilly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John "Jack" Sickles.
Family and friends are invited to Jim's Memorial Service on Friday at 7:30 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale with the Rev. Thomas Shirer officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home by the Scottdale-Everson Honor Guard. Interment will be private. A reception will immediately follow the service.
There will be no viewing.
