James Miedel

James (Jim) F. Miedel, Sr. 75, of Scottdale, died Sunday, April 28, 2013. He was born July 10, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant a son of the late Adam and Laura Mae (Jones) Miedel. He is survived by his friend, Linda Cottom; sons, Satch (Carol) Miedel; Ed (May) Miedel; and Andrew (Karen) Miedel; daughters, Wendy (Joe) Sowinski, and Dani (Dale) White; grandchildren, Eve (Matt) Hyzer, Christian (Claire) Miedel, Megan Sowinski (Christopher Huhn), Michael (Maura) Sowinski, Anna Sowinski, Robert Miedel, Jonathan Miedel, Emily White, Adeline White, and Claire Miedel; great granddaughter, Hannah Miedel; brothers, Tom (Margaret) Miedel, Bill (Nancy) Miedel; sister, Jean (Charlie) Kammer. Jim was the retired president of Hilltop Labs and attended the Vanderbilt Church of the Nazarene. He was a loving father and proud of his family. Family and friends will be received at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale on Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 am in the funeral home with his son-in-law, Dale R. White, officiating. Interment will follow in the West Newton Cemetery.
