Irene Boone
July 8, 1924 — January 28, 2011
Irene Boone, 86, of Scottdale, passed away, Friday, January 28, 2011 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born July 8, 1924 in Banning a daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Urban Beno.
Irene was a loving wife and homemaker and a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the former St. Timothy RC Church, Smithton.
She is survived by her son, Ralph Boone and his wife Mary Ann of Scottdale; two grandchildren, Jaimie Boone and Jason Boone and his wife Sherry; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alexander Boone; and two sisters, Mary Onusko of Perryopolis and Manie Stricklin of Wickhaven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Harold Boone; and two sisters, Anna Condupa and Helen Hudak.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, (724-887-7110) where funeral Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10 am in St. John the Baptist RC Church Scottdale, with Rev. E. George Saletrik as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Perry Township.
