Henry Molinaro

Henry L. Molinaro, 58, of Vanderbilt, passed away peacefully at Shadyside Hospital on Thursday, April 9, 2015, with his adoring family at his side.

He was born Saturday, June 30, 1956 in Connellsville a son of Henry F. Molinaro and Rita Mae (Ross) Molinaro.

Henry was a proud music educator, recently retired after 35 years of teaching music in the Connellsville Area School District. He loved his profession and his students, and joyously presented many wonderful choral music concerts and high school musical productions.

Henry was director of music at St. John R.C. Church in Uniontown (1978-1994), Third Presbyterian Church in Uniontown (1995-1997), and since 1997 he has directed the Immaculate Conception Church Choir in Connellsville, where he was a also member.

Henry loved singing and theatre, and he performed and directed many local productions throughout the years. His other loves were gardening, fishing, and spending time with his son, Max.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Cindy Molinaro, and by his children Emily Grace, Francesca Maria, and Henry Maximilian.

Cherishing his memory are his parents, Henry F. and Rita Molinaro, and his brothers John, Joseph, and Francis (and wife Teri) Molinaro, and his sisters Rita Cooper, Mary Rose Molinaro, Karen Connell Molinaro, Angie Molinaro, Maria (and husband Scott) Lavery and Susie (and husband Troy) Flesik.

Also bereaved are his parents-in-law Richard and Dorothy Janesko of Smithfield, Pa., and brothers-in-law Rick (and wife Lisa), Brian (and wife Janet), John (and wife Jill), and David (and wife Lori) Janesko, and sisters-in-law Karen (and husband Ray) DeSanto and Judy Quarrick.

Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Graft-Jacquillard Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 303 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 148 E. Crawford Avenue, Connellsville with Father Bob Lubic as celebrant (Everyone attending is asked to please go directly to the church.) Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Connellsville Area High School Choral Activities Fund, 201 Falcon Drive, Connellsville, PA, 15425. This fund supports choral and high school musical projects, which were dear to his heart.
