Harry Barclay

March 22, 1946 — November 2, 2011

Harry Tom Barclay, 65, of Yukon, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011. He was born March 22, 1946 in Blairsville RD 3 a son of the late Robert E. and Anna Etta Mae Barclay.

Tom was retired and had previously worked in the Excavating and Trucking business. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Vietnam era.

Most recently Tom was architect and builder of the Pet Adoption League, Yukon where he just completed construction of the new cat shelter. He enjoyed boating and camping and was an active volunteer and advocate for animals. He loved all creatures, great and small.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Flanigan-Barclay, his beloved dogs, Gracie; Rusty; Hot Dog; Sausage; Missy; Simon and Magic; brothers and sisters, Alice Jane "Peg" Lang; Ruth Cowan; Robert E. Barclay, Jr.; William Barclay; Joseph Barclay and John David Barclay. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and all of the volunteers of the Pet Adoption League.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Margaret Elizabeth.

Family and friends are welcome at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, 724-887-7110 (an Authorized Remembrance Provider) on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 2 pm until the time of his memorial service at 3 pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pet Adoption League 150 Spring St. Yukon, Pa 15698.
