Eugene Lewandowski

Eugene Theodore 'Duck' Lewandowski, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, in his residence. He was born Dec. 11, 1925, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Walter J. and Helen (Fronckowiak) Lewandowski.
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, in Everson. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Uptegraff Manufacturing as a fabricator.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent J. and Leo E.; and a sister, Valerie Surlas.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Louise (Sutty) Lewandowski, of Mt. Pleasant; four sons, Eugene 'Tim' and his wife, Linda, of Mt. Pleasant, Terry and his wife, Cindy, of Connellsville, John and his wife, Julie, and Louis and his wife, Darrla, all of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Brandon and his wife, Melissa, Sean, Mikalya and Jared Lewandowski; a great-granddaughter, Sylvania; a sister, Esther Kruckvich and her husband, Walter; five brothers, Clarence and his wife, Leona, Henry and his wife, Cecelia, Walter and his wife, Edith, Stanley and his wife, Patricia, and Robert and his wife, Patricia; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, PA 15683. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson, with Father John Sedlak as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, Everson.
