Dora Sharp

Dora Marie Sharp, 89 of Scottdale, passed away, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Scottdale Manor Rehablitiaton Center. She was born December 4, 1922 in Scottdale a daughter of the late Theodore and Antonette (Hefft) Wildey. Dora was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Scottdale. She was an avid gardener and was known locally for selling her home grown rhubarb and asparagus. She was also a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George L. Sharp and four brothers, Theodore, Albert, Charles Jacob and James Wildey. At Dora's request, there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are welcome to attend her funeral service on Saturday, March 3, at 11 am in Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 106 N. Chestnut St. Scottdale, with her pastor, Rev. Jeffrey A. Welsh officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Dora's memory.
