David K. Yoder

David K. Yoder, 83 of Scottdale, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026. He was born September 27, 1942 in Portland, OR a son of the late Dewey and Alice (Kauffman) Yoder.

After graduating from Philips University with a degree in Business Administration, Dave volunteered for service with the Peace Corps and spent 2 years building bridges in Nigeria. When he returned to the U.S., he briefly worked as a sales representative for Proctor & Gamble. Next, Dave was employed as a reporter and then editor of the Independent Observer newspaper, Scottdale. In 1974, he and Sharon began operating Yoder Printing, Scottdale and continued to do so for 45 years. A social person, Dave, always enjoyed taking part in a lively conversation with anyone who crossed his path. Additionally, he participated in the Scottdale Choral Society and the Heritage Singers and Players.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sharon E. (Benko) Yoder, his two daughters, Ellen Gustke and her husband Mark and Sara Yoder, two grandchildren, Troy and Luke Gustke; his siblings, Susan Hogan, Philip Yoder (Rose) and Louise Lewis (Gary) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday from noon to 2 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St, Scottdale followed by his funeral service at 2 pm with Pastor Brian Zeisloft officiating.
