David Smith

David M. "Smitty" Smith, of Scottdale, passed away suddenly, March 16, 2012 at his home on his 50th birthday. Dave was born in Mt. Pleasant the son of Charles Wayne and Glenda (Ansell) Smith of Scottdale.
He was a graduate of Southmoreland High School Class of 1980 and Clarion University. He also was a member of Molinaro Marching Band where he played tuba.
In addition to his parents, Wayne and Glenda Smith, he is survived by two brothers, Charles W. "Butch" Smith, Jr of North Carolina; and Scott R. Smith and Steve of Scottdale; five nephews, Spencer; Tyler; Matthew; Ethan and Jacob; his paternal grandmother, Elda Mae (Smith) Marker and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James D. Smith and his maternal grandparents, Martin and Hilda Ansell.
Family and friends are welcome at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, 724-887-7110, (an Authorized Remembrance Provider) on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm where funeral services will be held at 8 pm Sunday. Private interment will take place in the Scottdale Cemetery.
