David Alan Erhardt

David Alan Erhardt, Sr 71, of Yukon, PA passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Sunday June 18th surrounded by cherished family and loved ones. He was born on May 29, 1952 in McKeesport PA, a son of the late Harry F. and Marianna P. Erhardt. Prior to settling in Westmoreland County he resided in Virginia Beach where he met his wife Deborah.  Dave was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the United States Navy for ten years, where he received Honors for; outstanding administrator, Boiler Technician First Class, and was of unquestionable integrity. After retiring from the Navy, he then worked in the insurance industry for 40 years, where he retired from his most recent company, Arise Inc., as President and remained on the Board of Directors.  Dave will be remembered as a close friend, supportive coach, brilliant colleague, dedicated brother, caring father, and loving husband. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, bowling, and golf. More than anything, Dave enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Thomas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Deborah; three children;  sons, David (Aly),  Joshua (Sarah) Erhardt and a daughter, Catherine (Steve) Mamula ; grandchildren Ashley ( Jimmy), David, Wyatt, and Xoe; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Jr. (Ruth Ann) and Patrick (Kathy) Erhardt;  a sister Marianna (Alan) Calderone; as well as several nephews and a niece.  Upon Dave’s request there will be no public visitation. A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 at 1 p.m., in Cedar Creek Park, pavilion one.
