Dale Felton

November 13, 1923 — May 1, 2013

Dale M.E. "Pappy" Felton, 89 of Scottdale, went home to his Lord, May 1, 2013 while in Excela Frick Hospital. Pappy was born November 13, 1923 in Somerset a son of the late Elmer and Barbara Felton.

He had been employed by Kendi Enterprises and retired in 1989 at the age of 66. Years ago he worked for the Glick Brothers Farm and Allied Feed Mill. He was also a member of the Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren. Pappy's greatest loves besides his family were bowling and hunting. One night after being kicked by a cow Pappy bowled a 287.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his lovely wife, C. Louise Felton in 1997; a grandson, Randy Hardy II; a great-granddaughter, Brittany Oplinger; brothers Charles, Clinton and Clyde Felton; and a sister, Geneva Derencina.

He is survived by the following children, Richard (Diane) Felton of Hunker; Nevin (Lori) Felton of Norvelt; Patty (Bill) Sheets of Wooddale; Diana (Randy) Hardy and Gloria "Peanuts" (Garry) Halfhill both of Connellsville and Cindy (Frank) Sebek of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Neva Ritz, Jill Algarin, Rachel Felton, Nathaniel Felton, Denise Oplinger, David Felton, Billie Jo Rosensteel, Dwayne Sheets, Dawn Hardy, Christina Richey, Kyle Halfhill, Heather Slutter and Frankie Sebek; great grandchildren, Andrew Ritz, Tara Ritz, David Algarin, Joshua Algarin, Puller Felton, Mason Felton, Alyssa Oplinger, Anthony Oplinger, Lacie Rosensteel, Jessica Rosensteel, Dylan Sheets, Daryn Sheets, Josh Richey, Kaylee Richey and Brooke Forsyth; a sister Gladys Felsky of Somerset and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale on Saturday from 6-8 pm and Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 am in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren.
