Cherie J. Miller, 43, of Scottdale, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 in UPMC Shadyside. Cherie was born October 28, 1968 in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of Jane (Blackburn) Groomes of Connellsville and Robert Guynn of Scottdale. Cherie was employed as the office manager of Groomes Transit, Scottdale and had previously been employed at Williamhouse and Goo's Restaurant, Mt. Pleasant. She was a graduate of Southmoreland High School Class of 1986 and attended St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale with her husband, Scott and daughter, Faith. Cherie's life was centered around her family spending time on family vacations at the beach, camping, movies and her favorite hobbie of shopping. In addition to her mother, Jane and her father, Robert; Cherie will be lovingly missed by her devoted husband Scott Miller; her adoring daughter, Faith; she is also survived by her loving and caring siblings, Vicki Siesky and husband Jeff of White; Bobbie Eicher and husband Gary of Scottdale; Robert Guynn and wife Katie of Mt. Airy, MD; and Paula Robbins and husband Ken of Connellsville; a step-sister, Janice Groomes of Quebec, Canada; several cherished nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; her father in law and mother in law, William and Rosemary (Henderson) Miller of Scottdale, and brother and sister in law, Jeff and Emily Miller of New Kensington. Her stepfather, Donald A. Groomes, preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2011. Family and friends are welcome at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, 724-887-7110, (an Authorized Remembrance Provider) on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday in St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale. (Everyone is asked to go directly to the church) Interment will follow in St. John's Church Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Regional Family YCMA American Cancer Relay for Life 863 Georges Station Rd. Greensburg, Pa. 15601 in memory of Cherie J. Miller.
