Bonnie L. Malnak, 79 of Scottdale, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was born February 17, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late William and Emily Mae (Scrabot) Zipnock.
Bonnie was employed as an administrative assistant for Harleysville Insurance Company for most of her career and she then worked at Lenox Glass. She was an active member of Transfiguration of Our Lord Polish National Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant where she was in the church choir and helped in the kitchen making pierogies. Bonnie also enjoyed yard work and gardening at her home.
She is survived by several cousins, including, Dori Martin and her husband Tony, Phyllis Stoner, Dennis Scrabot and his wife Rita and their family, Dennis Martin and his wife Mary and their family and Dawn Mehall and her husband Mike and their family; a brother in law, Eugene Malnak and his family, Michael Malnak and Elizabeth Borgschulte (Ronald), a sister in law, Elizabeth “Babe” Hoge and her husband, Richard and their son, Stephen Hoge and his wife Tracey and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Victor (Vic) Malnak whom she married in 1968. Also preceding her in death are her father and mother in law, Edmund and Elizabeth (Perry) Malnak.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, April 2 from 9 am until 10:30 am at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC 303 Pittsburgh St, Scottdale where prayers of transfer will be said at 10:30 am followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 am in Transfiguration of Our Lord Polish National Catholic Church 353 Bridgeport Rd. Mt. Pleasant with Fr. Joseph Mazurkiewicz as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Transfiguration of Our Lord PNCC.
