Arlene R. Tikey, 78, of Scottdale, passed away, Tuesday, June 03, 2014 in Excela Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Arlene was born April 26, 1936 in Star Junction a daughter of the late Raymond C. and Nellie J. Schwartz Tikey.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Scottdale and its Missionary Circle. She was a member of the Scottdale Business and Professional Women and was honored as Woman of the Year in 2001. She was a notary and worked as a legal secretary for 18 years for the late Attorney William McDowell. She retired in 1998 after 25 years with Penn Line Service. She was a graduate of Scottdale Joint High School Class of 1954 and Penn State with a paralegal degree. She was also a dedicated supporter of the Geyer Performing Arts Center, Scottdale.
Arlene is survived by several cousins including, Janet Romesburg and Karen Nichelson both of Connellsville.
Family and friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale where services will be held Friday at 11 am in the funeral home with the Rev.
