Kurtiss Raygor

Kurtiss E. Raygor, 78 of Scottdale, passed away, Monday, October 16, 2017 in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe.  He was born December 18, 1938 in Scottdale a son of the late Clifford and Anna (Kravetz) Raygor.

Prior to his retirement, Kurt was the owner/operator of Raygor Auto Sales and Service, Scottdale.  He was a longtime member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale.  He was a life member of the Scottdale BPOE #777 and the Polish American Club (PAK), Everson.  He had served as a Committeeman of Bessemer #2 in East Huntingdon Township.  Kurt held a commercial pilot’s license, was a member of the AES Club, the EAA and was involved in the Civil Air Patrol for 18 years.  He was a member of Connellsville Senior Tigers and active in the Everson Senior Citizens serving both clubs as a former Vice President.  Additionally, he was an honorary member of the Everson Volunteer Fire Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and James Raygor and a daughter in law, Karen Raygor.

He is survived by his loving family whom he treasured, his devoted wife, Bonnie L. (Uber) Raygor; his children, Pamala A. Stashick and her husband Ron; Todd T. Raygor and his wife, Sue; and Erik L. Raygor (Cindy); five grandchildren, Adam Stashick (Meredith); Allison Emsurak (Brad); Aaron Stashick; Bryan Raygor (fiancé, Danielle); Alex Raygor (Meghan); two step grandchildren, David and Thomas Aaron; seven great-grandchildren, Jillian and Grant Stashick, Brooke and Zachary Emsurak, Brayden Stashick and Mason and Jaxon Raygor; two step great-grandchildren, Cydnee and Shelby Aaron; his sister-in-law, Jean Raygor; several nieces and nephews, and family pets, Gizmo and Winston.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 to 11 am for a memorial gathering at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St, Scottdale where a Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11 am with Rev. Andrew M. Kawecki, officiating.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  The family extends a word of thanks to the staff of Select Specialty Hospital and the staff of Frick Hospital for the care and support they gave to Kurt and his family.  To share a message of sympathy, please visit www.gjfuneral.com
