Eva Ridenour

Eva Nelle Ridenour, 93 of Scottdale, passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Excela Latrobe Hospital. She was born August 8, 1922 in Owensdale a daughter of the late Clarence Blaine and Ruth Anne (Ansell) Pletcher.
Years ago, Nelle had been employed by the former Kelly Pontiac and Guest and Hough Tire Service of Scottdale. She was also employed by K-Mart, Mt. Pleasant. She was a graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1940 and was a member of Pennsville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ridenour, Jr; a son, Thomas Blaine Ridenour; an infant daughter, Joann Ruth Ridenour; two brothers, James Edward Pletcher and infant brother, Wayne Milford Pletcher.
Surviving is her loving and devoted daughter, Kathy Smith and her husband Edward (“Smitty”); four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Ridenour and her husband Donald and Lena Mae Hoover and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Saturday from 10 to 11 am at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St, Scottdale. Nelle’s funeral service will take place Saturday at 11 am in the funeral home with Rev. Robert H. Bixel officiating. Interment will follow in the Barren Run Cemetery, S. Huntingdon Township.
