August 12, 1921 — December 15, 2017

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Sidlovsky, 96, of Scottdale, passed away, Friday, December 15, 2017 in South Connellsville Personal Care Home.  She was born August 12, 1921 in Scottdale a daughter of the late Frank and Barbara (Dorn) Miedel.

Betty was a caring homemaker and a longtime and faithful member of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale.  She enjoyed sewing and canning, as well as, gardening and flowers.

She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Barbara Jean Underwood and her husband Jim of Scottdale; two grandchildren, Steven E. Sellers and Nicholas S. Underwood; three step-grandchildren, Brandy Mason (Randall); Ashley Czekaj (Brian) and JD Underwood (Jessie); two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Gabrielle Sellers and five step great-grandchildren, Erik Mason; Lily Mason; Maci Czekaj, Cameron Underwood and Walker Underwood.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl C. Ringler (11-28-1972), her second husband Thomas J. Sidlovsky (12-5-2008); three brothers, Joseph, John and Adam Miedel and five sisters, Alice, Mary and Agnes Miedel, Helen Derstine and Madeline Hoff.

Honoring Betty’s wishes there will be no public viewing or service.  Private interment will take place in St. John the Baptist RC Cemetery, Scottdale.  Arrangements are in the care of GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 303 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale.  The family wishes to extend a special word of thanks to the staff of South Connellsville Personal Care Home and Amedisys Hospice for the care they provided to Betty.
